The tune ‘Lacrymae’ was first used to set the words of’ ‘Lord, in this, Thy mercy’s day’ and published in The Hymnary: a Book of Church Song; ed. by W. Cooke & B. Webb; music editor J. Barnby (Novello, 1872). This copy of ‘Jesu, to Thy table led’ is from the 1901 reprint of Church Hymns with Tunes; ed. by Arthur Sullivan (S.P.C.K., 1874).
The tune was also used to set the words of ‘Weeping, as they go their way’.
