General Data Protection Regulation
You may be aware that, with effect from 25 May 2018, a new piece of legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, came into force. The purpose of the Regulation is to give you more control over the way your personal details are used by third parties.
As a member of the Society, you give us access to your personal contact details and some very limited financial information to enable us to collect your subscriptions. We, for our part, use the information to administer your membership, to inform you of events and other matters which may be of interest, and to process your orders for Society merchandise. We do not share your details with any other organisation and we keep them for only so long as you are a member and for a period of up to six years after your membership terminates for accounting and tax purposes.
