Topsy-Turvy 2 is an afternoon of G&S in tribute to Melvyn Tarran, who died in June last year, and will feature Barry Clark, Jane Metcalfe, Bruce Graham, James Cleverton, Alexandra Hazard and others. In the audience there will be a number of former D’Oyly Carte stars (Valerie Masterson, Linda Anne Hutchison, Lorraine Daniels, Vera Ryan, David Mackie, Michael Heyland), some of whom will speak of their memories of Melvyn or their time with the D’Oyly Carte.
The event takes place on Sunday 22 October 2023 at the New Bury Theatre, Hurstpierpoint College, College Lane, Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks BN6 9JS starting at 2.45pm and ending at approx. 5.30pm. Tickets £15: all profits to Cancer Research, a charity that is close to the heart of Melvyn’s family. Seating is unreserved, and is on two levels with no lift. If you have mobility issues and require the lower level please let us know The venue has good accessibility and a large car park.
